Oh for crying out loud, please release this as a physical CD. I will NEVER purchase any download (as much as I want the music)! If you really feel it won't sell enough copies, then consider printing a limited run of 500 copies or something and market them as exclusive collector's items...by paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Just wanted to thank all those involved in bringing this beautiful 50th edition to fruition. Can we have a similar decent reissue of the under-rated "Pretty Eyes" next please...? Thanks again.by paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
1.) Ivan, whilst looking through the Foreign Releases section of your discography, I noted that it mentions the Japanese "Rendezvous" (TOCJ-6079) as having been available as a mini LP CD (cardboard sleeve). I own every Peggy Japanese mini LP CD and have no knowledge of this ever being available, other than in the jewel-case version. Furthermore, I have never seen it advertised. Can you confirm thby paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Ivan, I very much appreciate your gracious response. However, I won't be buying this -- in fact I don't even like the cover artwork! I am intrigued by the potential future "project" though (and I wholeheartedly agree with other posters requests for the "Norma Deloris Egstrom" CD).by paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
I can answer my own question, having just found a track-list on-line -- the answer is essentially no! Personally, I think Peggy's true fans have been very poorly served in this centennial year... sorry!by paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Any idea if there will be anything hitherto unreleased on this upcoming CD, as yet unmentioned on this official site?by paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Couldn't agree more - no physical CD, no purchase, sorry...…!by paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board

Ivan 1. This Japanese "Best From The West" series jewel-case stereo CD (TOCJ-5439) does not contain "Call Me Darling". 2. It was issued 20 Jan 1993 (and deleted 19 Jan 1995). Hope this information helps. Paul.by paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
I know the virtue of the European LPTime label has been discussed in the past (see thread for "The Fabulous Peggy Lee" LPT1125) but for completists you may like to know that "Dream Street" will be issued in mini-LP CD format (LPT1160). This has been available in mini-LP CD format previously (from Japan) but this new re-issue will also include the following bonus tracks: I Still Get a Thrill / Itby paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
I have no interest in these MP3s whatsover. As per several other posters, I prefer a physical CD with the relevant artwork, etc. I will wait in the hope that there is eventually a re-issue project in Japan, as per the Julie London re-issues last year, whereby 30 of her albums were re-issued in the mini-LP CD format. Peggy is equally deserving of such special treatment...by paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Just to let you all know my friends of a new Peggy mini-LP CD of "The Fabulous Peggy Lee". I have always loved the cover of this album, originally issued on Decca. This has already been issued on mini-LP CD format in Japan once before. However, I thought I would mention this latest re-issue (LPT-1125) on the LPTime label, as it also contains 8 bonus tracks, as follows: Baubles, bangles and beaby paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
There is an interesting upcoming release listed on Amazon for 8th Feb 2010 - "Ridin High - The Complete Record Releases 1957-1959". Nothing we haven't already got, except it also includes an exclusive interview... and all for £9.99 (current pre-order price).by paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
I'm surprised there has been no specific reference to date about Peggy's upcoming CDs on Collectors' Choice - "Let's Love" and - wait for it - "Two Shows Nightly", the latter with bonus tracks! I assume our good friend Ivan has been bound by confidentiality. However, these CDs are now listed on a U.S. website, as well as Collectors' Choice own site.by paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Bob, many thanks for your assistance. You can always be relied upon to help your Peggy buddies!...by paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Ivan, thank you for taking the trouble to let us know of these upcoming releases - much appreciated! Incidentally, how does one become a member of Songbirds?by paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Dear Ivan and friends, I feel as though it's taken me forever but eventually I have a copy of the Japanese mini-LP CD "Songs In An Intimate Style". As this was never officially released (available only as a send-for freebie to Japanese buyers who purchased a whole vocal series) I feel it must probably be the holy grail for Peggy CD collectors. It has certainly been the most difficult for mby paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Couldn't resist this one! My favourites are, in order of issue: 1. Rendezvous with Peggy Lee (Capitol) 2. The Fabulous Peggy Lee (Decca) 3. Guitars ala Lee (Capitol) I'm definite about the first two, but don't mind swapping the third for "If You Go", "In Love Again", "Blues Cross Country" or "Christmas Carousel" - I know, I'm cheating! Actually I always wanted someone to issue a boby paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
I must say there seems to be some confusion around this 2 on 1 series. I have learned that Matt Monro, Vikki Carr and Julie London all have upcoming releases scheduled (April I was told). However, I can't help but think that these must be USA-related - I deduce this from the fact that the Julie London issue is purportedly "The End Of The World" (aka The Good Life) / "The Wonderful World Of Julieby paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
All, a new CD was advertised on UK TV last night. It contains "mashed" tracks - for those unaware, this is when one track is spliced/combined with another track (different artist usually). I know this sounds horrendous in principle but sometimes the results are very good. Anyway, the CD I refer to contains "Fever" by Peggy. She is mashed with a track by Iggy Pop (would you ever have believed it?)by paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Ivan, interestingly the other duet you refer to "Johnny..." has just appeared on YouTube!...by paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Just to inform you all of an upcoming (March 2007) Petula Clark CD titled "Duets". It features a duet with Peggy: "I'm a Woman / Wedding Bell Blues" (I hope I got that title correct!)....by paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
All, I usually post good news of upcoming Japanese Peggy mini-LP CDs, so I am sorry on this occasion to be reporting some bad news. I have been chatting with the man behind the British EMI 2-on-1 series this morning - sadly he has informed me that there will be no more issues (cited poor sales as the reason)...by paulb - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
