Peggy was a musician and may have changed a line in a song because it sounded better to her musically or suited her phasing more. After hearing Some Cats Know it's hard to believe she ever toned anything down.by Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
For some reason, whenever there's a list of films that have Peggy's music Monkey Shines is left out. It's a very good hip horror movie that has a lot of Peggy's songs.by Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Never used, almost mint, giant New York subway poster of Peggy for sale on eBay. $65.00.by Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Trying to get a copy of the newly released Light Entertainment Rarities (England 1966) with Peggy. Only finding region 2 DVDs which won't play on most US players. Any ideas? Thanks - Rick.by Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Sometime, somewhere Peggy did a TV special with the great Lavern Baker. Anybody remember the title and if it's available anywhere. Thanks.by Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Heard MGM wants to make Peggy bio movie. Any info? Thanks - Rick.by Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Thanks. Anyone else notice early films of Peggy look a lot like Marilyn Monroe. Happy New Year.by Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Billie Holiday was great but slowly became very depressed. Some of her later records are difficult to hear. On some of Peggy's love gone wrong classics (Don't Smoke In Bed, It Takes Too Long To Learn To Live Alone, Don't Explain, etc.) Peggy always sounded like she was hanging on by a thread and wasn't quite ready to give up. One of Peggy's last recordings This Will Be My Shining Hour expresses aby Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Why would someone remake a classic like Lady And The Tramp? Because they lack the imagination to create something new. The plays nominated at the Tony awards were 70 percent revivals or plays based on movies. Peggy's songs We Are Siamese and He's A Tramp matched perfectly to the animation were the best part of the film. Maybe Disney is still mad she won her lawsuit.by Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
There are three songs I love that Peggy sang but never recorded: Don't Cry Out Loud, The Wind Beneath My Wings and My Father's Eyes. Next year would have been Peggy's 100th birthday. I hope we see new CDs, DVDs, and a long overdue postage stamp.by Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Sing - I hate this song and it's on Peggy's Where Did They Go? album. It's sandwiched in between two classics, Goodbye Again and I Was Born In Love With You.by Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Reese doesn't have Peggy's sensual look or voice. Nicole Kidman could pull it off (using Peggy's recordings). The big question is when is the film going to be made, it's been on the back burner for 14 years.by Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Stumbled across a listing for PremOpera. They have a DVD of The Society of Singers Salute to Peggy Lee (1994). I ordered it but haven't received it yet. It sounds great and it's only $3.50. Any information about this DVD, I never hear anything about it and was wondering about the quality. Thanks.by Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Just got a new car with Sirius Radio. Enjoy some of the music but not enough Peggy. Any chance of a Peggy Lee Sirius station in the future? Do you think it would hurt or help her music sales? It would gain a lot of new fans who stumble on the station and never tune it out.by Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Every once in a while this BMG PROMO CD of Peggy is listed for sale. It has 24 songs that Peggy wrote and a few versions by other artists (Tony Bennett, Dr. John, Nat King Cole). Any more info about this album and the sound quality? Thanks - Rick.by Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Almost two years ago I became one of the many people addicted to Peggy Lee and her music. I never knew Peggy but I think of her as a close friend because she's become an important part of my life. Living in Virginia I don't hear a lot of Peggy's music unless I'm playing it. Thanks to the worldwide members for filling in the blanks I had about Peggy's music and career. Catch Peggy Lee in Stage Door Canteen - Sunday morning 1/31/16 at 6 A.M. on TCM.by Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
JLTV (Jewish Life TV) channel 366 in the Virginia area has daily showings of Dinah Shore's one-hour 1950's shows. The prints are terrible, grainy black and white and as flat as a pancake. But if you can get JLTV you have a chance this week to see a 1959 Dinah Shore Show featuring Miss Peggy Lee. It will be shown on 12/31 at 4 A.M. and 1/1 at 2 P.M.by Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
Bought the Mirrors album in 1975, my wife and I loved it and played it all the time. A couple of months later Peggy Lee was at the Waldorf. We had great seats very close to the stage. After Peggy had sung about eight songs (none of which were from Mirrors) and my wife had had a few drinks she loudly requested Ready To Begin Again. There was a long pause of silence and then Miss Lee replied "I'm nby Rick Scott - Peggy Lee Bulletin Board
