Hi Richard,
This is mainly to warmly thank you for always keeping us informed about the new video clips showing up on YouTube -- this time around, the segment from the Danny Kaye show, as well as this performance of “Fever” that you are mentioning above.
Did you hear about a DVD that was recently released in the UK, and which includes a full 1961 Peggy special, taped in the UK for the BBC? This performance of “Fever” is actually from that special.
For any fellow readers hoping to listen to any other renditions by Peggy Lee which do not show up often in YouTube, here is also a
radio version of “Waitin’ for the Train to Come In.” Vocally, it’s fairly similar to the commercial record, but it makes for pleasant listening all the same. Go to 15:50:

If you also want to hear Peggy’s parts in the comedy patter, go to 13:50 and 22:29.
Actually, there’s not one but two episodes of this show with Peggy as guest. The other one has been transferred to YouTube in far better sound quality: [
www.youtube.com] . You'll hear her sing two of her own compositions, at 15:44 and 25:57. For the patter, go to 11:11 first, and also keep listening right after her second performance.
Anyway, thanks again, Richard!
Ivan
